Luxury Chalet For Rent In Switzerland

At The Mobile Physical Company  we always have your total fitness lifestyle in mind, so in 2009 we are proud to recommend this exceptional winter holiday location in Switzerland. 11 Le Cret is a light, bright and airy, totally refurbished apartment, available to rent all year round. It sleeps up to 8 adults and 2 children – there are no sofa-beds or bunk beds. It is situated in a quiet location just a few minutes walk from the shops and the telecabine in the 4-Valleys ski resort of Haute Nendaz, Valais, Switzerland.

The two-storey duplex apartment is the largest in the chalet at 160m2 (1725ft2) divided into 120m2 of living space and 40m2 of balconies.  It has a double-height living room, a fully-fitted kitchen and a galleried mezannine.  Ample sleeping space is provided by the four double bedrooms, each with access to a balcony and fabulous mountain views. There is also a bathroom with twin basins, a WC and a full-length bath; a shower room with another WC, and a separate cloakroom with basin and WC.

Le Cret is just 400m from the large telecabine which in 8 minutes goes to Tracouet at 2200m, and from there is ski-linked to Verbier via Siviez.

The chalet is also within a few minutes walking distance from Migros supermarket. The kitchen is fully equipped for 10 people from egg cups to oven gloves.

Outside is a private car park with an allocated parking space, and a communal garden overlooking the Sion valley to the rear.  The chalet has a concierge who clears the snow daily, a lift, a ski and boot room, plus a basement laundry room.

Winter Sports

Haute Nendaz forms part of the extensive 4 Valleys ski network. It is linked to Verbier, Siviez, Veysonnaz, Thyon les Collons, La Tzoumaz, and Evoline. The main ski lift out of Haute Nendaz is a good sized telecabine which is owned by the townspeople and in 8 minutes whisks you from Haute Nendaz up to Tracouet at 2200m.

A free ski-bus operates every 20 minutes during the season, and buses regularly run between Sion, Haute Nendaz and neighbouring Siviez all year round.

The 4 Valleys Lift Pass covers 412km of downhill pistes, served by 95 ski lifts. Other local area lift passes are also available.

Non-skiers can relax in any of the many bars & restaurants, or enjoy ice skating on the rink in the centre of Haute Nendaz, 100km of clearly marked paths for snow walks, snowshoe routes, paragliding, sledging and snow tubing, and a fitness & sports centre.

Our guests may use the 8 sets of Tubbs Wilderness snow-shoe kits provided – snow-shoes, poles, and carrying knapsacks. There are 4 sets for gents, and 4 sets for ladies/children. The shoes simply clip on to walking/hiking boots.

BISSE WALKING
The bisses are one of the Valais region’s best kept secrets. Accessible directly from Haute Nendaz, nearly 100km of these beautiful paths provide some of the most glorious walks in Europe. These routes are very well maintained paths linking the mountain villages of the area, and 8 of them run alongside water channels which follow the mountain contours through ancient forests and high pastures.

HIKING
For those wishing to enjoy more vigorous exercise than the gentle bisses, all other routes affirm the fact that this is mountain country. Steeper gradients, narrower paths (often quite vertiginous!), and longer distances – there are hikes to suit all abilities. Clearly marked routes are available over 250km of summit paths.

MOUNTAIN BIKING
There are spectacular biking routes throughout the 4-Valleys, ranging from easy local rides to the challenging Grand Raid. The Tour de Mont Fort has two routes – Easy Rider and Pro Rider and details can be found on www.tdmf.ch. Bikes are carried free on the lift systems, and the entire area can be travelled for CH15 (about £7) per day per person between late June and the end of September. The sports shops in Haute Nendaz can provide clothing, safety kit and of course bike hire. There is secure bike storage at the chalet, plus bike-washing facilities.

Other sports available in Haute Nendaz are paragliding, tennis, swimming and horse riding are the order of the day for all ages. Details of these annual events can be obtained at the Tourist Office.
